Neuromuscular Therapy –  Also known as Trigger Point (TP) Therapy, is what I most often use in my treatment sessions. I’ve been called “the Queen of NmT”!   This therapy, involves finding the TP adhesions in the belly of the muscle and releasing them (the famous “knots”) and by doing so, promotes muscle reintegration and helps relieve pain which is caused by muscle inflammation.

Oncology Massage 
– A gentle approach to massage therapy for stress and pain relief for cancer survivors. Your therapist is trained in this modality and will know how to address your body accordingly. A doctor’s note will be needed if you’re going through treatment. 

Buccal Massage: Buccal massage, also known as inter-oral massage, is a facial treatment that involves gentle, targeted massage of the inner cheeks, lips, eye sockets. jawine from the inside of the mouth. A trained therapist uses sterile gloves and specialized techniques to massage the facial muscles, aiming to release tension and improve circulation. Highly recommended for face rejuvenation and persons with TMJ issues and Tinnitus relief.

Sports Massage – Typically this technique is recommended for pre and post workouts a Depending on which muscle group your sport requires, we will focus on those muscles during your session. Any injuries or muscle discomfort will also be addressed. Passive stretches, deep kneading and friction are some of the techniques to be expected. Pressure is medium to heavy. A minimum 90 mins session is recommended for a full body. If for “spot work” 60 mins will suffice.

 

Myoskeltal Alignment Technique (MAT) – This system brings together the most advanced therapeutic strategies to relieve, and ultimately correct, patterns in the body that lead to pain and deterioration. With MAT therapy, clients can reduce pain as well as avoid invasive surgery and toxic pain medications. Please note that this type of treatment requires multiple sessions before results can be noticed.  

Myofascial Release Therapy – This technique involves releasing connective tissue adhesions aka fascia. Fascia supports 80% of our body! Myofascial release has been proven to be a great technique to relieve chronic pain. Cupping and Guasha may be used during this session.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage – Vodder technique, is a gentle manipulation of  certain areas of your body which helps the lymphatic system move lymph fluid to a working lymph node.

MLD renews, nourishes, strengthens and regenerates the cells, removes waste products, relaxes the nervous system and increases the immune system.

It also prevents and remedies many chronic conditions, e.g.:

  • Pain – joint swelling, muscular pain, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, migraine, chronic headaches
  • Skin – cellulite, aids in weight loss
  • Fluid retention – swollen feet and ankles (inc sprained ankles), puffy eyes or face
  • PMS – helps to reduce swollen and painful breasts, abdomen, limbs and face Menopausal swelling
  • Respiratory conditions – sinusitis, nasal congestion, catarrh
  • Immune conditions – recurring colds & flues, recurring inflammation & infections, allergies, auto-immune disorders
  • Digestive conditions – chronic constipation, flatulence, bloating, Irritable Bowel Syndrome
  • Stress, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, lethargy
  • Post plastic surgery (e.g. face, neck abdomen, thighs etc) – it reduces pain, bruising and swelling
  • Post operative inflammation (e.g. after liposuction etc) – it reduces inflammation, bruising and prevents scarring
  • Post traumatic events (e.g. accidents, sport injuries etc) – it reduces swelling, pain, bruising and inflammation
  • The prevention, treatment and control of lymphoedema (e.g. during or after cancer treatments)
